Would You Rather: Bookish Edition

would you rather

What a great idea for a post. I stole this from Sophie at Mind of a Book Dragon. Go check out her blog, it is so cute! 🙂

This is bookish would you rather. I’ve always enjoyed this game, especially when the questions are so tough you have no idea what to choose. These are all book related, but if you have no boundaries, this game can get quite interesting.

Would you rather…

  1. Read only trilogies or stand alones?
    • Probably only stand-alones, I like trilogies too, but to choose just one I would want my book wrapped up.
  2. Read only male or female authors?
    • Female authors, all the way. #girlpower And I feel like the types of books I enjoy most are mainly female authors.
  3. Shop at Barnes & Noble or Amazon?
    • Amazon – all day, everyday. I love my Kindle like no other.
  4. All books become movies or t.v. shows?
    • Movies. Again, I think it goes back to the stand-alone thing. I would like it to be wrapped up.
  5. Drop your book in the toilet or watch it fall into a wood chipper?
    • Why??? I guess toilet because it could be salvaged.
  6. Read only 1 book a year and remember everything or read 100 books a year and remember nothing?
    • What? This one is evil. Could I really only read one book a year? I have a question though… Would I remember everything while I was reading only to forget it afterwards? I might be okay with that as long as I could have the experience while reading. Ugh. I guess I’d have to forget everything, I can’t read only one.
  7. Read only the 1st page of a book or only the last page of a book?
    • Last page, I am a glutton for punishment.
  8. Get locked in a library or locked in a bookstore?
    • Bookstore, I suppose. I feel this would be about the same. In a library though some books could be checked out, but in a bookstore there are multiple copies! 😉
  9. Drop your book in a lake or accidentally set it on fire?
    • What’s with the book destruction? I can’t take it. Again, I think I would take the water because it can be dried out.
  10. Have the end of a book spoiled or never know what happens?
    • Ending spoiled. I would choose this every time. I can’t stand the thought of not knowing what happens in the end to the characters, plot, etc.
  11. Read a book that is missing the middle chapter or read a book that is missing the first and last chapters?
    • How many middle chapters? I need more info! If it is all the chapters except the first and last then I would have to choose to “X” the first and last. Hopefully I would be able to determine what happens from everything else.
  12. Have to start every conversation of your life with a quote from a book OR not be able to remember any quotes from any books but be able to speak normally?
    • I guess I would have to choose to speak normally. Am I happy about it? No.
  13. Never be allowed to read the last chapter of a book but be able to read as many books as you want OR only be allowed to read one book a year, but be allowed to finish it?
    • Shit. Really? I’ll choose not reading the last chapter, but reading as much as you want banking on the fact that most everything will be mostly explained before the last chapter. UGH. I hate this one.

Well, that concludes my first Bookish Would You Rather. That was hard!

Post your own “Would you Rather” in the comments and let’s answer some more!
