Winter is not in a hurry anywhere. Snowstorms cover ground with snowdrifts. Frost paints fantastic patterns on the windows. But cold winds and frosty air are not very good for our skin, alas. By the way, dry air of apartments and offices damages the skin condition too. Also our skin is injured by close touch with scarves, high collars and winter hats. Often oily skin becomes closer to normal, and normal skin becomes dry, dry skin becomes overly sensitive and irritated.
In winter you shouldn’t wash with soap and use lotions, containing alcohol. Otherwise you will provoke additional dryness of the skin, shrinkage and peeling. It’s better to wash with milk or cream. I advise to wash in the morning with a weak brew of green tea or with a decoction of camomile. If you want to have tanned skin, you’d better to wash with a weak brew of black tea. Also in the morning it is recommended to apply nourishing cream 20-30 minutes before going outside; and to use moisturizing cream at night.
Make special masks twice a week to look good and to live till spring. These masks are easy to do but very effective. Looking at yourself in the mirror in two weeks, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Vitaminizing and moisturizing mask. Mash 1 kiwi with a fork; add the yogurt and some potato starch. Mix everything until the consistency of sour cream. Apply on face, neck and area of décolleté for 20 minutes. Then rinse with warm decoction of parsley or green tea brew. Finally apply any moisturizing cream.
Mask for skin rejuvenation. Peel and grate 1 small but juicy carrot. Add a tablespoon of soft cottage cheese and 1-2 teaspoons of fat cream. Apply the mask on the face for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with warm water and apply cream.
Rejuvenating and nourishing mask. Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with warm cream. Apply the mixture on the face, neck and décolleté area with brush, very carefully, for 20 minutes. Then rinse with camomile decoction or warm water. Wipe the face with a piece of ice from the broth of parsley or simply the usual piece of ice. Apply moisturizing cream. This mask also helps to get rid of the shrinkage and small wrinkles.
Mask for dry skin. Pour 1 tablespoon of lime flowers (available at drug stores) with ½ cup of boiling water to brew and infuse for 2 hours. Then filter, take 1 tablespoon of infusion and add 1 tablespoon of natural butter without vegetable additives. Mix thoroughly and apply on face for 20-25 minutes. Then dry the remnants of fat with a napkin.
Potato mask. Take 1 potato, boil in its jacket, peel hot potato and make puree quickly. Then add 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream and apply the mask on face and neck. Cover with a towel. After 20-25 minutes rinse with warm water.
One more exclusive recipe. If you want a visible and rapid improvement, then you should wash with hips decoction. Pour 2 tablespoons of hips with 2 glasses of boiling water in a thermos bottle in the evening. In the morning strain ½ glasses, add 1 teaspoon of honey and moisten face and neck with a cotton swab wet in the mixture. After 20-25 minutes rinse with boiled water of room temperature.
