Dry skin is the most common type of skin for women, which, alas, leads facial skin to premature aging. Skin dryness leads to loss of tone, and chronic hunger is the surest way to premature aging. Here are the basic rules you should follow to keep your skin young and healthy.
Rule 1. Avoid extremes.
Do not wash your face before going out, especially in the winter. Also, avoid hot or very cold water when washing - it dries your skin. After washing, but rather instead of it, use a cleansing facial lotion. A lotion gently and effectively removes dirt and makeup, leaving your skin hydrated, and that is exactly what we need right now.
Rule 2. No alcohol!
Eliminate cosmetics containing alcohol solutions. Even your lotion or toner should not contain alcohol. It is best to use a special lotion for dry skin, which contains chamomile extract that calms the skin, and lactic acid - a powerful moisturizer that keeps the right acid balance of skin.
Rule 3. You need some feeding.
Dry skin just needs extra hydration and nutrition. In the morning and before going to bed always use a moisturizer. It moisturizes and rejuvenates the epidermis, compensates the shortage of water in the skin, and protects it from moisture loss. Apply a tinting cream or powder only onto a moisturizer or a multi-protecting cream which you should use as a foundation primer.
Rule 4. Another sip.
If you feel that throughout a day your skin needs extra hydration, do not wash it with water. For this purpose use special cosmetics such as moisturizing emulsion. These preparations are good because they leave no oily sheen on the face, they prevent sweating, and also are essential when traveling or in the middle of the working day, especially if you're in a room with air conditioning.
Rule 5. Around the eyes.
The thinnest skin on the face is the skin around the eyes, so this area requires particular attention. An eye contour cream should always be included in the program of dry face daily care. Be careful when putting the cream on the area around the eyes. Do not stretch the skin.
Rule 6. Masks.
Make time for doing facial masks at least once a week. A mask is an extra care for your skin, and it will be thankful to you for that care. A mask is able to improve skin’s ability to absorb moisture; it enriches the skin with oxygen and minerals. Do not forget that the mask can be washed off with warm water only.
Dry skin needs to be given special attention, because in order for it to perform protective functions in relation to the tissue again, and for having a feeling of comfort and softness for a long time, it needs our care and assistance.
